Looks great, Don!  I, too, feel slighted at not having the "money" shot, but I understand! ;)   That is a great cut of meat!  I re-read the tag, at Sam's, and saw it was a "Top Sirloin Boneless, 1/4 Cut."  I'm now a big fan of this roast!

Hey Tony, as still trying to learn about different cuts of meats. And I love top sirloin steaks. Could this be sliced into say 3/4" or 1" steaks? Just curious as have been seeing some of these at Restaurant Depot. Going to take a pen and paper next trip to write down some of the large pieces of beef that I wish to ask you all about them and how they should be smoked or cooked. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Don.  It's now my favorite roast, besides a good prime rib!

Tony, those pictures of your roast border on the obscene they are so hot!  True smoker's porn.  I get all my meats (except bellies) from Sam's but my location does not carry any prime meats unfortunately.  I will check this week though in the area they have briskets, etc.  All I ever see are the sirloin tips and prime rib roasts.  And the nearest 2 Restaurant Depots to me are both 4 hrs away in GA.  Kind of surprising when you consider how many restaurants are located in the Myrtle Beach area.  One can only wish and hope.

Bill, I had to ask at my local sams club. They did not have them out on the floor but he went in the back and pulled it out. You may have to ask for them.

Yes Bill,  this is what they slice into top sirloin steaks and my butcher gets 12.98lb for 1-1/4 inch steaks.

I bought the 14 pounder @ 4.98lb. at sams.

Thanks Don, I need to replenish my steaks, that way can cut them to the size I want. That would be a good price on the roast. I need to get one of those and also maybe a cut where I can slice some rib eye steaks. Never was much on t-bones or new york steaks.
