Apple Brined Berkshire Pork Chops
« on: August 24, 2015, 01:56:56 PM »
I brined two Berkshire pork chops for dinner last night.

Brine (3 hours total brine time):
2 cups apple juice
1/4 cup sea salt
1/4 cup brown sugar

Removed from brine, rinsed and then seasoned with my BBQ seasoning and then lightly sprayed with pam before grilling. I served the chops with corn and mash potatoes and gravy!

Thanks Tony,

Tonight I was going to make BBQ Brisket Pizza, but the oven died....

It is amazing they keeping add all the electronics to everything in the house and you are lucky to get 5-6 years on your appliance. Oh well, new stove arriving next week, time to smoke something :)

Sorry to hear about the oven, Greg!  You're right about lifespan of all these "smart" appliances!

Gas or electric oven?  If you want to post a product for some to know about, please do so.

Knock on wood, what I got for the inside appliances are AOK so far. (6 years ago).

Though I tell my wife I need a manual to work the gas stove/oven.   I'm always outside!
