Gonna do some Chicken Thighs tommorow, brine them in buttermilk tonight.  My question is do I need to wash them off in the morning or will it be ok to leave the buttermilk on them?  I have read where you rinse the brine off of other items that you brine, but never seen anyone talk about buttermilk?

Rick, you want to rinse a salt-based brine off to get the excess salt off the surface.  You should be ok with buttermilk, unless you added salt to it.
