Smoking for other people

I would not mind smoking a butt for free except I'm afraid it would start something that would be hard to control.
I wonder if you guys ever cook for other people and how do you charge.
Should be worth something for your time and spices etc;

I smoke for others, but only as a personal favor for groups I know.  I would think you might get into red tape (health departments, and such) if you start charging folks.  Then, it becomes a business vs. a hobby.  I don't know for sure, though.

When dealing with people I am friendly with but not necessarily friends,I charge meat. In exchange for my service.

A full smoker of jerky = one rack for me three for you. Pork butts = give me a two pack I will give you one cooked and pulled.
