White BBQ Sauce
« on: June 30, 2014, 11:30:14 PM »
Basic Sauce
1/2 quart Mayonnaise
1 1/2 Pint Cider Vinegar
1/4 cup "White" corn Syrup
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Adjust to your personal taste by adding
Lemon Juice
Horseradish
Salt
Fresh Ground Black Pepper

I used a tablespoon each of lemon juice and Prepared Horseradish, you may wish to start with less and adjust. The final consistency was thinner than ranch dressing.

We have only used this sauce on grilled chicken I made for a large party. The chicken was grilled over direct heat until nearly done then dipped in a bowel of sauce and returned briefly to the grill. It was very good on the chicken and popular with all those at the party. Personally I would not care for it on a rib but think it would be good on a pulled pork sandwich.

Hey Brian, have you ever add fresh garlic to this recipe? I bet it would be a great addition to this sauce for chicken or pork.

I haven't tried garlic in it but it might be good. We only made this a few times. I had forgotten about it until a White Sauce was mentioned in a pulled pork posting.
