I love my #2 so much I'm thinking about ordering a #1 just for doing fish mainly salmon ( Itend to get lazy on cleanup )  the #1 would be perfect for this, I could order a fixed probe and have an awesome fish/ salmon smoker....what do ya think??

I like the idea. I know that long term repeated smoking of fish will give you a fishy smoker. If its affordable to you I say go for it. Myself I mainly cold smoke my salmon, if I were to hot smoke some I would dust off my stick burner to do it.

Jim,

The #1 is a formidable little beast!  It now has a 400 watt element.  I haven't used the Auber with it, but a fixed probe and Auber setup would be killer!
