Title: most reasonable instant therometer

Hello smokin` folks....
so, wanna offer up advice on an adaquate hand held therometer that will hold up for a long time?
will i need to spend over 40$$$$$..would rater not buy twice..so if i gotta bite the initial bullet...i will...

I'll post a quick review of the one that I use (Thermoworks RT301WA) in just a few minutes.  I actually have two (to avoid cross contamination if I'm cooking multiple meats).

I'd avoid infrared thermometers for our uses, though some smokers swear by them ... I personally would rather know internal temp rather than surface temp.
