I looked for recipes and couldn't find any. I have a local store that has them on sale

The ticket with oxtails would be to smoke for a short time to get the smoke flavor and the pull off and braise to finish for the right texture and consistency.

Good to know. The you tube video I watched was smoked on a BBQ.
