Title: 1200gph on #3
Post by: balexander667 on March 10, 2017, 04:41:32 PM
So, I have an auber 1200gph from my old modded Bradley.  I'm so very done with that bradley, but wondered if you guys think the 1200 would survive use on the #3.  I actually had to replace the TRIAC on my auber because some wiring came loose in the bradley and blew out the auber.  the 1200gph supports up to 1450w (not to exceed) and is basically designed for the 2 x 500 watt setup for a modded bradley, so I'm tempted to give it a go.

figured I'd see ya'll's opinions.

should be good with 2 amps to spare. #3 shows 10 amps, the 1200g shows 12.
You might want to order a permanent probe if you don't have one already too.

I STAND CORRECTED, SEE NEXT TWO POSTS!

If you go to the store website, they only recommend the 1200 for the #1 and #2 and the 1500 for the #3 and #4.

From a purely numeric standpoint, Doug, you would think the 1200 would handle the #3.  But, I think the problem is lack of overhead.  You are essentially pushing the 1200 on max power the whole time, whereas the 1800 watt version easily pulls the load without overheating.
