Is there enough access to the PID controller with the jerky dryer attached to the 4D?  It looks like the dryer would completely block it?

I don't know if this will help but I measured between the base of the controller to the ring at the smoke vent is 5 1/2 inches on my 3D. Might need to contact Steve for an answer and then report back.  Just guessing but if you set the controller to what you want and then set the drier in place you would be good to go. But that is just a guess.
