Got around to ordering my model #2 this morning and already shipped. Pretty sweet and looking forward to it. Hopefully with any luck I will get it before Saturday because I will be out all next week at a work thing. When I get it I will post another update. Bummed I just missed the free cover offer so I will have to figure that out.

I know your pain on missing the deal of the week. I wish when Steve is making the "Buy it now and get this free offers" there would also be a discount price on those items for current owners for those same items. I do not have a cover or cord hook but likely would buy them at a reduced price for example.

I've been talking to Steve about specials for current owners, referrals, and more. One of the hurdles is how to get the word out, and the logistics of it. Bear with us! All of these comments are definitely being heard - just takes a bit to put some of them in play. Keep those suggestions coming!

Maybe too much to ask them to offer a switch out + small fee for existing owners of the black covers to get the CAMO ones???

Looks like the smoker will be here tomorrow which is quite fast and pretty awesome. What cover does everyone have so i can look for one for model 2 since i missed the special by a day or two?

Wait until it gets there, Eric - there's a chance Steve would have thrown it in. If not, I've had the standard black cover (x2, #1 and #2), and they've held up well. The camo cover is pretty cool, though! Didn't have that when I got mine.

Looking forward to it. Was supposed to receive it yesterday but looks like shipping was delayed in Ohio due to weather. Bummer but what can you do.

my smoker is lost in transit according to UPS. UGH.. I contacted Steve so hopefully I can get my smoker soon. The wait is killing me.

Ah yes, I finally understood after connecting the dots from the availability posts on these forums. The future number 3's are welcome to come over for some buckboard bacon and snack sticks while they wait for delivery.
