Just finished my first smoke in my new smoker. I seasoned it twice, and bought me a pork shoulder. I was a bit worried if it was too cold out. It was around 33 degrees when i started this morning. I cant believe how easy it was. Just used a basic rub, let it sit overnight in the fridge, and put in the smoker this morning. After 9 hours it was up to temp (even with it as cold today as it was). Im letting it rest for a bit, cant wait to try it out! Heres a pic of the finished product.

Well......everyone could only let it rest for an hour! It was delicious! I thought it may be dry, but it was perfect. I used apple juice in a soup can instead of water. My neighbors also enjoyed it. Thats what its all about, good food and good friends. This site is a one stop shop! I hope to try more ideas from here soon!

Absolutely! And I too am making a list of all the great recipes that people have posted on here that I want to try out.

Wow, nice job Kingosan! Welcome. I just got my #1 last week and have a few runs myself, ribs and a brisket.
Pork loin is next up and sounds like your pork shoulder was a success! Nice.

Nice! I have my smoker in a porch that's enclosed with windows but unheated. Got ribs going right now and it's -10 F outside! The temp in the porch is a nippy +20 F.
