3D wood size question
« on: February 28, 2017, 08:32:48 AM »
about to use up the last couple of pieces of wood that came with the smoker
but a question
they are just a hair big so no matter what way i put them in the smoke box they hold the lid up just a bit

does this really matter? should i trim them down?

they are the right weight i need for what i will be doing (11 pound pork butt)

I use a chisel and split the larger pieces so that they fit and the wood box lid closes.

Stout... I don't see where it would really matter as long as it's not holding it open significantly.  That said, I bought a small hatchet so I can resize chunks as needed.  :)
