Hey all, I just received my new 4d & am burning it in right now. There is some smoke escaping at the top of the door- is that normal? Thanks

I would say yes, my 1993 model 105 does too.

I used to have leak on the top of my #3. But after several smokes, the creosote has sealed the leak and I only get a wisp now and then.  But I also realized it isn't a problem if there is smoke coming out the door either. There isn't enough leakage to cause a problem with the cook.

Thanks. I figured the build-up might seal it. Still seems pretty well sealed
