This is my home made barbecue sauce, it’s got a nice tangy vinegar flavor with a smooth sweet smoky finish that compliments and refreshes the flavor of the meat.
Ingredients:

    44oz. Ketchup
    4Cups Light Brown Sugar
    2 Tbls Garlic Powder
    2-1/2 Tbls Smoked Paprika
    1Cup 100% Apple Juice

Gather the ingredients, Empty the ketchup into a medium to large size pot and turn to medium-high. Stir the brown sugar into the ketchup, and allow the sugar to melt/dissolve. Lower the heat to low and add in the other ingredients. Whisk the sauce well to mix the apple juice and ketchup mixture. Let the sauce simmer for  a few hours (the flavors will settle and marry into the most wonderful flavor). Once the sauce has simmered down to about how much ketchup you started with turn it off and let it cool. Once cooled fill you empty 44oz ketchup bottle with the sauce for ready use whenever you need it.
