Looks like it turned out well. I'm going to have to try cinnamon in my flavor profile.  :)

Definitely wins the award for the most complex Lazy Q ever! :o ;)

Way too complicated for me. But, if you like it, more power to ya I say.

Very interesting thread.

Good job. To much work for me though.

I'll be the first to admit, I obsessed over developing this process.  Lots of work (and eating trial BBQ  ;)) went into getting it right.
But the beauty of it all is that it truely is Lazy-Q.
Aside from the watching on this pilot run, it was set it and forget it.
The program is saved on the Auber.

I load the wood, load the butt, flip a switch on the Auber and go away.
The only additional work is soaking some wood chips in water.

Can't do that with a stick burner.

Hey Funk, now you have to try chicken to see if you get the crispy skin? The BB looked out of this world. Good job and loved the smoking ring.

thanks, elkins.
chicken skin?  it's an inevitable test, but I'm not looking forward to it.
it's beaten me down so much, I feel like it's my nemesis.
would be nice to slay that bird once and for all.

hey Funk, Good luck on it as I do not do any type of birds in my SI's they are just for beef and pork. The birds and fish go in the weber.. As you can tell I do not care for either foul or fish. Had too much as a kid, but, love fried chicken, mashed potatoes, milk gravy and creamed corn with hot rolls and sweet tea, that is a meal and then some.
