Today's dinner - brined turkey breast and drumsticks, did the butter milk style brine and then salt and pepper.
The bacon goodness came from smoking-meat - bacon wrapped onion rings, with a little sauce and rub on the onion then wrapped with bacon. Can't wait to try these out. Haven't done bacon in the smoker yet - or turkey, so should be a great dinner tonight!

So far so good! Turkey drums were outstanding! Love it!

And the breast. Dang....who knew turkey could be so juicy! This was phenomenal!

How were the onion rings? They look really good.

Michael, the onion rings were great. A little sauce and rub on the onion, the wrapped. The bacon kind of came undone over the process, so next time I'll use a tooth pick to keep it on better. The bacon could have cooked a little longer, but I like my bacon chewy and that's how it came out. It wasn't crisp and at the 250* I don't think it will get crisp. But, you could always put them in the oven under the broiler for a second to crisp them up.
I'll definitely make them again though.
