James Dryer--Not happy
« on: September 11, 2014, 02:09:24 PM »
Used the James Jerky Dryer for the first time today and guess what, It runs for about 10 sec then shuts off and won't re-start. Now I have a 79.00 door weight. Do you guys think I can send it back?  >:(

Absolutely!  Call or text Steve and let him know what's going on...he'll make it right!  I love mine - used it many times with no problems whatsoever.  Could be a power supply issue, connection issue, but doesn't matter.  (260) 417-9951

No problem, Ron!  You'll not find a company owner more concerned with customer satisfaction.  This is actually the first time I've heard of a problem with the jerky fan!  Guess there always has to be a first - sorry it was you! :(

That would be frustrating. I run mine for hours on end without issues. When you get that exchanged your going to love it.

Ron, Steve said he'll ship one out immediately, but asked that you email him with your info (order # helps).  He'll definitely send you a new one.

Mine had a solder break ( the red wire) I'm about to fix it since I have meat curing and don't want it to go bad while I wait for a new unit

It is good that you took photos and sent to Steve.  He can use those to question the quality control at the factory.

Took out of shipping box and the Jerky dryer box had a rattle not a good sign. I hope I just get the small power plug sent to me as it is a pain if I have to return the whole thing. Like I said what is one more week to wait.

Just heard back from Steve and he is sending me a new Dryer and I will return the damaged one.  Which is far more than I expected. :)
