Jim Baldridge Secret Seasoning
« on: November 11, 2018, 10:54:47 AM »
I have read great things about this product and just ordered some.
First of the 23 ingredients is salt, and that makes me wonder if I have to be real careful how much I use, so my meat does not come out too salty, especially on a steak vs a brisket or roast.
Do they make a reduced sodium version, or it it not necessary?
Thanks!

Lipster; I have used this Baldrige rub on all my briskets and have never had a "too-salty" taste. Always leaves a great bark and good flavor.

Thanks, Kona.
I used it on a smoked prime rib last week, and it was excellent.  I made a mental note not to put it on any heavier than I did, however.  Brisket is up next, and I'm going to use it, but gonna be judicious.
