Would this restrict airflow too much?
« on: July 03, 2021, 12:12:25 AM »
Trying to find a suitable home for my 3D on the back patio, and curious if placing it under my Weber spirit shelf would allow the needed airflow? The underside of the shelf is hollow, and there about 2” clearance from the top of the 3D and the bottom of the shelf.

I think it would work, you can always roll it out from underneath a little.

I would roll it out when in use like Dave suggested.

I agree with  Dave and Dave.  It looks like a great location to store the 3D, but the clearance on top appears too narrow for my comfort to allow unrestricted smoke from the top.    I also would be concerned if you experience any combustion (the dreaded "burp") of the wood in the beginning of a smoke.

I’ve just been rolling it to the right a bit. I store it in the garage when not in use, so it’s not too big a deal. Thanks for the tips.
