Smoke Signals from Porkopolis
« on: August 07, 2016, 02:43:13 PM »
Hello, all

Another new guy whose wife just gave a SI #2 for birthday.

Love smoked meat, and finally convinced myself that predictability, quality and results were more important than sticking with charcoal. Expect to reinforce the decision for years to come with my SI. What a well engineered, quality product!

Looking forward to learning more about what the #2 can do and what has worked for others.

Welcome from Texas!  The #2 will bring you a lot of great meals and good times without the backbreaking work usually associated with making great Q. Hope to hear about your future good times here on the forum and enjoy some pics also.

Looks like it is a common nickname for Cincinnati?

Welcome Kirk! If you have a traditional smoking background, I think you will really appreciate the ease, and pure flavor of the SI. Nice gift from your wife!
