Hello everyone, I got my Model 2 today and can't wait to get started. Don't laugh, but I've been using a Brinkman bullet electric smoker for almost the last 30 years. I got it as a gift in 1992 and it only just crapped out this past winter. My main uses for the old smoker were for turkey, pork butts (and pork steaks), chickens, and ribs. After a few years, I could pretty well time my smokes based on the outside temps. Anyway, I spent a few months deciding which new smoker to get and ended up here. I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Lots of good knowledge here. You will love the #2 and the "Lazy-Q" methods of turning out great food.

Welcome, and you will enjoy the #2. Suggest you weigh your wood chunks the first few smokes to help with consistency.
