The Bella CSG
« on: May 04, 2021, 12:24:19 AM »
Has anyone tried the new vent wheel for the lid of the Bella CSG? The moisture generated when cold smoking can be a real problem. I was tossing around the idea of getting the vent wheel, just thought I would check to see if anyone had any experience with it yet.

Same here.  I was waiting for some reviews before I ordered one.

Anyone install and use the vent wheel yet?

I ordered and received mine but haven't installed it yet.

I just purchased one, I cold smoked a salmon filet yesterday and had to relight the Bella several times during the smoke. When I opened the top I had a fair amount of moisture drip onto the ground, so I'm assuming that the moderate humidity and condensation had something to do with keeping the pellets burning? I usually cold smoke in cooler temps and lower humidity, so maybe that's why I've not had this problem before.
