I used a marinade for my 1st time at making Jerky. Do I need to vacuum seal and refrigerate it or freeze it to keep as long as possible? I have been reading all kinds of ways to make it, using marinates, curing salts etc etc
Thanks

Without using an appropriate amount of cure, I could not vouch for the safety of the jerky. It "may" be OK if refrigerated, but I would not chance it with my family.
My two cents.
What were the ingredients in your marinade?

Hi, and welcome to the club! I hope you saw my PM reply to you.
For all, I agree with Gregg. I believe curing is essential to good, safe jerky. Non-cured will last in the fridge a few days (like any other smoked meat), but jerky is intended to last a lot longer...curing is the only way to achieve that.
