First rib run!
« on: September 28, 2014, 03:36:40 PM »
Well here goes. I got back ribs rubbed down with mustard and rub, 16 hours wrapped in fridge. Now in smoker. Set at 235 and trying the 5 hour no peek challenge. I tell you what it is harder than you know. I want to see them like you can't believe! I just want to say thank you to all for the great posts. It made my first set up very easy. I will try to post pics when done. :)

In my #3:
5 hours = you can mull the bone out of the rack with your fingers
4.5 hours= the meat easily pulls clean of the bone while eating (preferred in our house)

Good luck with your smoke.

I have to apologize. I can't get the picture to load off my phone due to size. But let me tell you. I had a feast with the family. They didn't even want sauce! Thanks again to all the posts that made it happen!

My cheat for pictures is: take the pic with the phone and email it to your computer as a medium size file. I drag the picture out of the email to my desktop and upload it from there. Haven't had any rejected since I have been doing it this way.

Glad you had a fine meal.

Great to hear the ribs turned out great!  Any time they stand on their own, without sauce, it's a definite winner! 8)

Here's something that might help with the pics:

This is the same thing that I do. It is so easy. Just right click on the picture/s that you want, point to "Send to", and then click "Mail Recipient". You should then be prompted to choose a size. Medium is usually selected by default and usually provides a very nice sized picture. After you receive the email, just save them to your desktop, upload them to your post, send your post, and then you can go delete the pictures from your desktop.
