Just got my wood, Peach and Pecan. The size looks good. I did specify Cookshack Cut. Looks like they came through.

I also didn't know about the bags. And I can't keep the wood in a fridge. Got an extra freezer, but not fridge.

But I can actually smell a difference in the woods. First woods, chunks or chips that I can smell something. And yes it's good. As long as they smoke:)

I picked up more meat to smoke, so will try out my wood RSN.

Divot,
The burlap bags are pretty cool... not to big...not to small They have Fruita logo but in the center of the bag is the type of wood....Hickory / Cherry etc. When you order you can have it printed with the type of wood you want on the bag. Relatively inexpensive.

I have read on here where some of you use them as a supplier. Do you use the chunks, or mini-splits? Which cherry do you prefer? Sweet Cherry or wild cherry. Any others you recommend? Thanks

Hey Danny, I merged your question into this existing fruitawood thread, so we don't reinvent the wheel.  I use mini-chunks, and if you call-in your order, they'll make the minis smaller for what they call the "Cookshack cut."  I'm a wild (black) cherry fan, but sweet cherry is good, too.  I have never been disappointed with any of the different woods I've ordered from them!

You can also type in "COOKSHACK CUT" in the comments part of the online order form, and this works too.  I did this for an order of hickory and received mostly small enough pieces to fit in the wood box.
