First Brisket in My #2
« on: February 08, 2014, 04:08:28 PM »
Just carved my first brisket and it is awesome! 7 Hours @ 225 for a 4.7 lb brisket! Covered and let it sit for hour in the cooler! Like butter! Juicy, smoked meat loving paradise!  Used a dry rub last night and putting this morning and never opened til I took it out 7 hours later. Gotta love this thing! I'm a smoking novice and even I couldn't mess it up! Gotta go pig out now!

Sounds like a very successful 1st outing.  Look under "Beef", "Beef Brisket".  I outlined an entire brisket cook.  May answer a few of your questions from earlier post.
