I use the digital pocket scale from Harbor Freight to weigh my wood. I also use this scale for golf clubmaking, and it's actually quite accurate! I've tested it with known 1 or 2 gram weights, and it's dead-on. The great thing about this scale is that it's big enough for your wood chunks, but doesn't take up counter space! Just zero it out, select ounces or grams, and weigh your wood! It remembers the settings (ounces or grams), so it's ready when you turn it on.

it has never been available at my local so I bought the digital one that was posted earlier

That's a really nice scale, Ben. I just posted this as a cheap alternative for those who didn't want the larger footprint, but needed a way to weigh their wood. I'd like to get that other scale for some other types of cooking. You got a good one!

I "wood" have bought that one but it was never there, so I got the other one

Hehe...Yeah, my local Harbor Freight is kind of spotty, too! Online always works for me, though.

Nice option. I never thought to look at Harbor Freight a scale... Why I'm not sure. I like the price!
