Simplified instructions for #2D?
« on: July 01, 2020, 09:46:51 AM »
I saw Ben from Ohio posted some great instructions for the Auber. Has anyone done something similar for the #2D controller? It has a lot of capabilities and can be a little overwhelming to start. New users would really benefit from a how to manual vs the supplied technical document.

These controllers have such garbage programming that there is little that can be done to really simplify the instructions.  I did try to help someone out once by writing up something specific to them.  Take a look and see if you think it might be helpful.

Larry, this is the PDF I was looking for but couldn’t find it. Thanks for posting. I have it saved for future use now!

Thanks Larry. I'm in IT so I've been spoiled a little by more mature UI's. One of the tricks I would like to figure out is programming a presaved cook that I can set to 0 temp. I don't like that the element starts heating the minute I turn it on.

Have to admit it took me awhile to figure out the programming steps.. Mainly just used the pre-set recipes for my first year of cooks. Also found that really cold weather will sometimes impact the programming steps.. Have been using my 3-D for several years now and it is no longer an issue
