Camo cover
« on: April 21, 2014, 08:05:51 AM »
I have a #3 and look at purchasing the new camo cover. Does anyone have one, how does it fit? The current smokin-it cover is a little snug.

any insight would be appreciated

Might want to call Steve about the fit, Ed.  I haven't seen one yet, but he did tell me the construction is far superior to the black ones.  They're cool, and I want one. ;)

I received the camo cover with my #1 this week and it fits fairly loose on this unit. I like that I don't have to struggle to get the cover on.

And it was free!

If you find it blows off the smoker in the wind, check out my "chinstrap mod" in the Modifications board.  Simple solution to chasing your cover across the yard every time the wind blows!

I got the camo cover for the #3.  Fits over the smoker easily but not so tight you struggle to remove it.  It has room to accomodate the cord hook.  Had tried to order the black vinyl one but was not in stock when I made my smoker purchase.  When I picked up my unit recently Steve threw it in gratis.  I think it looks great.  Seems like it would stand up well to the elements.  I like Tony's idea of the "chin strap" for outside storage.  Mine is in the garage so not much of an issue there.
