I purchased the meater product during a black friday sale. I am thinking about using it for a smoke. Anyone ever use one? I usually use my chef alarm.

I haven’t seen the Meater come up in conversation in a few years on this board. If I remember, some of the regulars would discuss it often on the board. Getting the actual units to ship, that was a huge concern, but if my memory is correct, there may have been a little spotiness on connectivity within the box? I could be wrong though. On another board I visit, the meater isn’t brought up much as well. It also was a few years ago that people were discussing it.

But like you - I do have a Chef Alarm and love it. Thing works great, so you know you can at least compare the two for accuracy.

What do you plan on testing the meater out on for the first cook?
