Title: Habanero Snack Sticks!
Post by: Libohunden on November 22, 2017, 11:40:12 AM
I grabbed some new Excalibur seasonings from Waltons. Trying the Habanero flavor first as it's right in the middle heat wise of the 3 (jalapeƱo, habanero & Gigawatt Hot). Half of this batch was with Cheddar and half stuffed with mozzarella.

More pics when they are done!

These guys turned out great!  Nice and spicy, the way snack sticks should be!  I'll post more pics when I package them.

Those look fantastic.  Some day I am going to try to make them.

These are my favorite yet!  When I do the gigawatt hot, I may combine w blue cheese.

I highly recommend that you do try them soon!

Those look great. What size casing did you use?

I use 21 mm casings.

Here are a couple packaging pics. I had already given away about 6lbs before these pics were taken.

Nice Job Brad! One of these days I'm going to venture into snack sticks. You know what... I've been struggling to figure out and give ideas to family for what I wanted for Christmas. Perhaps you just helped me here... :-)

Tony, you could do with a smaller stuffer. But Greg pushed me into the 11lb stuffer and although it is kinda big. My garage is too. And it really is nice not to have to keep constantly packing it when your making snack sticks.
