You think it may have been shipping damage, Carl?

It was sealed in the box, no apparent damage to the box and wrapped in plastic.  I sent over some pictures at RTIC customer service request, kinda weird, a lot of scratches when I look at it in the sunlight. I'm keeping it but they wanted to figure out how the marks got there.

Hmm...Maybe they'll send you a new one, Carl.  That's what Steve would do!  We'll see how their customer service is; Steve sets a pretty high bar!

I sent them pictures showing the scratches.  Regina in customer service was very nice, offered to have it sent back and replaced or 25% refund, I took the refund, the cooler is very nice, they were more than fair!!

Can't beat that, Carl!  Good to know!  I'm pretty sure I've settled on them for my next cooler.

Curiosity got the better of me last night, and I ordered the small RTIC cooler.  I've been needing a new cooler to keep in the trunk of the car for beer trips.  I've got a small Yeti I use as a cambro already, so I'll be interested to see how they compare.

Just received my can koozie and 20oz tumbler and splash proof lid.
Filled 20oz tumbler with just ice at 11:00 am did not pre cool. Temperature in house is 71 degrees and will be in house the whole time. Will see how long ice stays.
The handle for the tumbler is being shipped now and the softcooler 20 is still on backorder.

You should have done a comparison with a glass or a cheapo coffee mug to see how much longer this will last in comparison.

Looks like a pretty cool tumbler.

For any one wanting a bigger cooler from RTIC there are coming out with a 110 cooler in January 2017. That's the one I'm waiting for.

Just recieved my RTIC handle for my RTIC 20oz tumbler.
The handle fits the tumbler like a glove it's very solid and does not move around or slide up and down when pressed in. As you can see it's kinda low on the bottom and would not fit good in a cup holder unless it's cut out on the side to accept a handled mug.
Now I have to buy one for the ole lady. 30oz with handle.

Got my RTIC 20 yesterday. Side by side with my Yeti Roadie 20, the RTIC is just a bit bigger. Build quality is easily equal to the Yeti. Before ordering, I watched some YouTube videos that showed side by side reviews. The RTIC seems to be equal as far as holding ice in not a bit better than the Yeti. I haven't had the chance to fill both with ice yet, but will report back when I do.

The Yeti will likely remain as my "faux cambro" as it already smells of meat and smoke, and the RTIC will live in the trunk of my car as a beer vessel for when I'm traveling for work. I'm very happy with the purchase already though, and would tell anyone thinking about a Yeti to strongly consider the RTIC.
