Congrats Don!

Fortunately, shipping is usually pretty fast. I would think you would have it before the end of the week unless the Christmas shipping plays a part.

Shipping is painful but after a few meals out of that #3 you will forget about it. That's a lie, you don't forget about it, it just seems less important while your eating ribs.

When I was looking at shipping costs, some options equaled the price of the smoker.  :o  I wondered if anyone had ever chosen those options.   :-\

Dave - What options are you looking at that equal the cost of the smoker?  Not sure what you are referring to.

Shipping options. A couple of the fast delivery options were almost as much as the cost of the smoker.  LOL!

I was not aware there were options. That explains it. Thanks Dave.

Congrats Don!  Just so folks know - Steve has switched to UPS freight due to FedEx going way up on cost, and not providing the service they used to.  There are more options now, for speed of delivery.  But, Steve doesn't markup the shipping cost.  It is based solely on weight, size, and how far it goes.  Many don't realize what it takes to ship a package this large and heavy a long distance, so the costs seem high (relative to what we normally ship).  Being in the transportation business, please remember you are paying for a big, heavy package to travel hundreds or more miles, and be handled by several people along the way.  Not trying to defend UPS, but their costs are not up to Smokin-It.  The shipping cost calculator on the site is provided by UPS.

After the first meal from mine on Saturday, I forgot about the cost completely. You can't put a price on the food these make!

I kept seeing references to UPS but did not know that Steve switched over from the dark side.

Agree that the shipping costs seemed high, but after picking up the box I realized that this thing is built like a tank. Luckily I'm both retired and close enough to drive to smokin-it HQ.
Great product at a good price. I'm loving mine!

I paid 130 for shipping, however when i bought my smoker, it included a cover, cord holder, and rib hooks. It kind of offset the shipping cost. No regrets here.
