Seasoning my new smoker #1
« on: January 03, 2019, 09:54:17 AM »
I want to clarify the seasoning instructions I received with my smoker.

Leave out the racks while seasoning?
Is foil in base required for seasoning process?

 Additional question regarding accessories :
Almost every thread says the rib hooks are worthless... Why do they still send them? Any other clever ideas for using them?

Thanks for any input...
This is my first electric smoker.

No racks, no foil, crank the heat with 4 chunks of wood.

When I saw the hooks on the website I thought they were stupid. Apparently a lot of folks did and they haven't sold. Giving them away is better than selling for scrap value but that is only a guess.

I left the racks in mine when I seasoned...  it's not going to hurt them and will just season them, too.
