3.5D WiFi cart
« on: July 15, 2018, 10:10:44 AM »
Just received and set up my 3.5D WiFi, thanks to the recent Smokin-It sale.  In order to make it a little more accessible, I made a cart.  Wood is 2x6 for the build and 1/2 inch sanded plywood.  Cart dimensions are 29"x 39", so it will roll through doorways, in case I need to take it from the garage to the back deck.

It is secured to the cart with 1.5" and 2.5" length 1/4 inch lag screws, so it is NOT coming off, and is NOT top-heavy in the least.  I'm loving it!  Also decided to attach a 15" depth drop down shelf on the front.  The bottom shelf is 23"x 36" ( 1/2 inch sanded plywood) and is painted and covered with linoleum scrap.

3.5D has performed flawlessly for two cooks during the first 7 days.

That cart should last for years and serve you well.   Nicely done Jody!

I used these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M2UYPHS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Maybe overkill, maybe not.  But I didn't want to have to buy twice. Advertised to hold 500+ lbs, but all I'm needing is about 50 lbs of strength, which I tested at.  Works perfectly.
