Title: Extension cord on Auber

Just received: WSD-1500H-W

1) Two questions:
Can an extension cord (very heavy duty) - 12 ' long, rated at 15 amp, 1875 watts be used?
I have used this  cordon smoker alone without apparent issue

2) If one just wants to control temp of device, is autotuning necessary/a benefit?

I don't believe using the extension cord will have an adverse effect on the Auber.  As for auto-tuning, do you suspect that it is needed? In other words, is you smoker running hotter or cooler than the set temp?

225 (setting) +/- about 3 degrees. 

Seems close enough for me
