Air Damper

In addition to using a fan to increase air flow, has anyone thought about adding an inlet air damper? I would use this for smoking dried beef as well as jerky.

There were threads where it was discussed. I recall one guy actually drilled his SI. He swore it was better. It may have actually been better. Then again if you drilled your $400 smoker after everyone said don't do it you might not be honest in reporting results.

Personally I think Steve figured out a good product I get great results as it is.
