So what are everyone's thoughts on the updated format? I am enjoying it.

SUCKS!!!
First off I  can't see the red lettering against the background.
Had to have wife look at it for me, she even said hard to read....
Since I now know where to look I MIGHT get use to it.  When one updates it should be even easier to SEE and navigate.
I can't be the only one???

What's different about the new format?  I haven't noticed anything, and I drop by most days.

i agree the red lettering is hard to read.  Otherwise I like it.

Agree on the red lettering, and also the "hello" line in dark gray is nearly invisible.

* The "Simple Machines" logo needs to be replaced with the Smokin-It logo.
* As others have stated, the small red text on the current background is very difficult to see
* The color and size of the breadcrumbs leaves a lot to be desired... these should be easy to see and use
* I no longer see the user search option...  I used this extensively as it provided additional links to find topics started by a particular user.
* There is a nearly invisible "News:" label at the top of the screen that should just go away
* All of the fonts seem smaller than they used to be and are now a bit small

More notes...

* I found my profile and changed the theme to "SMF Default Theme - Curve" which is *much* easier to use
* My newly chosen theme makes it easy to find the Members and search them once again
* I was getting some broken image links, but changing the theme seems to have corrected that situation

* The "Click here to visit our store!" link goes to http://www.smokin-it.com/.  It would be better if it went to https://www.smokin-it.com/.  The Smokin-It site does redirect to https, so not a biggie.  Just a little more polished.

* It may well have been there, but I didn't even see the "Click here to visit our store!" link with the 'default' theme

You are welcome. Sorry for the late response.  Ever since Big Sur updated to 11.4 I have had trouble accessing the forum.  Every other forum and site load quickly but since the upgrade Safari cannot connect.  It is intermittent.  Using FireFox is only slightly better. I was hoping the forum formate update would help but so far no dice. Sure is a struggle. The SI site itself works just fine.
