Title: smokinlicious - The serious double filet choice is a bunch of wood!
Post by: G man on November 25, 2016, 01:29:37 PM
Just received my first box of wood from smokinlicious.  As the price was only a few bucks more to order the "serious" double fillet box, I opted for that.  Holy crap, that is a lot of wood!  How long should it "last"?  Perhaps I'm going to need to start smoking stuff at least twice a week!

I ordered that same box in August,  Got plenty of wood for a while.
I ordered Hickory, Sugar Maple, and Cherry.

If you have a vacuum sealer, you can seal a large amount of it to retain moisture.

I punched a bunch of holes in the sides of the box, and I keep the wood in the garage.   Had no problems with the first box that I ordered over a year ago.   Yes, it took about a year of smoking to use up the two-wood box; this time I went with the three wood variety that should last a good long while.
