Title: Wood provided in shipping package?

I had read some posts about "dowels" but didn't think much of it until I was browsing the SI site and saw the hickory dowels.  My unit came with a bag of blocks so I assume it was either the maple or cherry.  It wasn't labeled so I'm not sure what it is.

I believe they all ship with hickory, either dowels or blocks depending on the supply on hand.

Interesting then that the hickory chunks aren't listed as available.

It looks like they are available to me. I was able to add some to my cart without any issue. So, I am not sure what you are seeing.

I think they occasionally have the chunks and the dowels in stock based on supply, if you are trying to distinguish between dowels and chunks.

The dowels are only hickory.  Your chunks are likely hickory, too, but the dowels are always hickory.
