Title: Montgomery Inn Baked Beans
Post by: GeeBee on February 21, 2014, 09:46:57 AM
1/3 cup onion, chopped
3 slices bacon, cut into 1" pieces
1/2 cup Montgomery Inn Barbecue Sauce
28 ounce can pork and beans (I like Campbells)
1/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 teaspoon dry mustard powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare 2 quart baking dish with nonstick spray. Saute onion and bacon pieces in a skillet until onions are translucent. Combine onion mixture, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, mustard and beans (with their liquid). Stir well to thoroughly combine, pour into baking dish. Bake uncovered 1 hour.

I usually double this recipe.

I would skip the baking part & put in the smoker @ 225 for 3 hours.  I usually do this with some Cajun hot deer sausage & stuffed jalapenos.
