My first smoker and first project

Bought my first smoker and it arrived a few days ago. This smokin-it-3 is awesome. It is everything stated in the research that I did. Top quality built. No shortcuts in construction. It was half the money of the big kid on the block, but the same quality. My first smoke was chicken thighs. I achieved thin blue smoke in 10 minutes at 225 degree setting. 1.96 ounces of hickery wood smoked for 2.5 hours down to a fine ash. This one is a keeper and will be passed on to one of my children. Good Smokin from Jimmy

Can't go wrong with chicken thighs for a first smoke!
Glad it turned out well. I plan to run my #3 for many many years, too!
