Kansan in Ohio
« on: February 25, 2018, 11:25:01 AM »
I posted an intro yesterday and then read that the question asked should have been posted on a different forum which I will do. I deleted the original post.
I'm now retired, living in Ohio, (Kansas Native) and have time to pursue smoking foods which I'm a little anxious about. I have the Model 1 and am excited to try any and all foods with time.

Welcome!! ;D   Great to have you with us!!

Not sure if your user name is your name or not, but we love to see a first name in the signature line, so we know who we're talking with!  We're a pretty informal family, around Club Lazy Q, so first names are great!

Looking forward to you sharing your stories with us!

Made the correction on the name. Thanks for the advice. I've seen nothing but positive vibes on here so far.
I finished seasoning my #1 this morning and found that the hot spot is in the front and middle of the burn box. Lesser burn on the rear but not by much. Anxious to try bacon wrapped brats in the next couple of days. Waiting on food scale and plan on using  about 3 oz. of apple wood for 3 hours.
