Title: Brine with bottled water?

I just noticed in Alton Brown's brine recipe he calls for bottled water. Anybody with experience on this?

I would only bother with this if you have really bad tap water. :)

I agree with Gregg.  No reason, other than that.  Or, unless you are a hoity-toity TV cook, then it's the thing to do. ;) ;D ;D

Ever notice how TV chefs look like they cook with pans that have never been used before?

I love DDD (diners drives dives) on food tv, but that's about it.

I like DDD too, John!  But that's not a "cooking show," it's more of "show cooking" show!
