Post by: dbackyard on April 22, 2018, 09:23:52 AM
Anybody smoked a Pork Sirloin Tip Roast on the SI? I am mainly looking for time and temp.. roughly 2.5-3lbs. Come from costco in a pack of 4.

Smoke it at low around 150 for 1.5 hours then finish it direct heat on the grill to sear the outside. go to 140-145 max for slicing.

Did you mean 250 for 1.5 hours?

No 150 for 1.5 hours to get some smoke into it then finish it on a hot grill. It is lean solid muscle. Smoked then seared to Medium Well slightly Pink but moist.

The roasts are leaner than lean. Brining wouldn’t hurt. I concur with Brian’s recommendation.
