I have a relatively new Food Saver that I bought at Sam's 3-4 years ago for $129.99 and it still works great.
My only complaint is that after you seal 7-8 bags in a row, it needs to cool down for a couple of minutes, whereas my parents older Food Saver can go and go without needing to rest. This is really only an issue when we are packaging jerky/stix/summer sausage where we are doing lots of packaging at one time. If my parents sealer ever dies, I think we'll have to invest in a model that advertises quick recovery.
But for my home needs my regular Food Saver works just fine.
